Hey, I'm Brad Kofman.

Comedian, actor, filmmaker, and yes, I bring a guitar to comedy shows. Before you click away: it's funny, not folksy. There's a difference and I take it very seriously.

I'm based in Chicago, which means I grew up doing time at places like the Lincoln Lodge before eventually making my way to rooms like the Comedy Cellar in New York. My thing is stand-up that feels tight and thought-out right up until the moment it doesn't, which is kind of the whole point. You never totally know where it's going. Neither do I, honestly.

My debut special Somebody's Lying is out on YouTube now. It's about deception, the little white lies, the big ones, the stories we tell ourselves so we can sleep at night. Very feel-good stuff. I also make short films on the side and have somehow racked up 27 festival wins across 12 of them, including Cannes and Austin. I bring it up because I worked really hard on those and my mom can only tell so many people.

Next up: I'm headlining An Evening with Brad and Sohrab at City Winery Chicago on May 19th. Come out. It's going to be a good one.
